AIR ESC: PHOENIX EDGE LITE 60 HV
Phoenix Edge Series ESCs are the next evolution in speed controller technology. The white user-programmable auxiliary wire can be used for features such as helicopter governor gain input adjustments mid-flight, serving as an audible beacon after an “unexpected landing”, acting as an RPM output for 3-axis gyros that support RPM sensors, be used as an ESC arming lock, or as a receiver arming lock. Combined with data logging, access to Castle’s industry leading software functions, and USB programming capability via Castle Link USB adapter, or the Castle Link App and a B-LINK Bluetooth Adapter, Phoenix Edge offers unparalleled versatility.
Phoenix Edge Lite HV controllers offer all the amazing features and functionality as the regular Edge series with a reduced size and weight.

*RC HOBBY APPLICATION RATING: 60 amps with appropriate cooling. Phoenix Edge Lite controllers are designed without a heat-sink for applications with extreme air-flow, such as EDF planes, or applications with average current requirements much less than peak current requirements. Controller temperature must never exceed 100C (212F). Exceeding current or temperature ratings may damage components and shorten the life of the ESC. Always verify system current draw at full-throttle. Decrease load or increase airflow to decrease the ESC’s operating temperature.
Product Features
| Data Logging: Available using Castle Link USB Adapter and the Castle Link Windows software to read, analyze, and store data recorded on the ESC. |
| Power System Alerts: The Edge ESCs are programmed to sound a number of tunes and codes using the motor as well as flashing LED patterns to alert users to certain conditions regarding their power system, such as over temperature, excessive load and locked head speed. |
| AUX Functionality: The Edge ESCs offer an AUX LINE, which is the extra white wire connected to the receiver cable. This line may be used for a variety of tasks such as helicopter governor gain input adjustments mid-flight, serve as an audible beacon after an "unexpected landing", act as an RPM output for 3-axis gyros that support RPM sensors, be used as an ESC arming lock or as a receiver arming lock. |
| Telemetry Capable: Telemetry has the potential not only to improve the safety of our models by monitoring battery voltages, ESC temperature, and other critical parameters, but it also creates other opportunities to get even more fun out of flying because you’ve essentially reduced the risks of “unknown” inevitable crashes. Think of the benefits to be had from alarms that will sound to warn you when there's interference about or if your receiver battery is running unexpectedly low. Requires purchase of Castle Telemetry Link for S.BUS2 and compatible Futaba Radio or Castle Telemetry Link for X-BUS and a compatible Spektrum Radio. |
|
Protection Features: Arm Lock Key: When the Arm Lock Key is in the socket, the controller will be incapable of arming. RC Arm Lock: The controller will not arm or run when the auxiliary channel is below 50% after connecting the AUX line to an open channel on your receiver that is programmed to serve as an arm lock switch. |
| Programmability: Fully programmable Castle feature set using Castle Link USB adapter and freely downloadable Castle Link Windows software or the Castle Link iOS App and a B-Link Bluetooth Adapter. (A small subset of the settings available through Castle Link Windows software can be accessed via manual programming through the transmitter stick). |
| Firmware Upgrade: Users will receive free access to all firmware updates, including added features sets using the Castle Link USB Programming Kit |
Castle Link Compatible
With the Castle Link USB Programming kit you can use your Windows™ PC to easily program your controller. Castle Link includes all code for all Castle Link compatible hobby products in one convenient download.
